Jivdhan Fort was built to protect the ancient trade route of Naneghat. It was considered to be an important pass as it was a gateway joining the mainland’s and the seas. It was heavily guarded at all times. The trekking route initially is covered in the dense forest leading to amazing views. You can spot many beautiful birds and wildlife around the fort

Naneghat is a mountain pass, it connects the Konkan Coast and Junnar town. Nane means “coin” and ghat means “pass”. As this path was used as a toll booth to collect toll from traders crossing the hills. From the inscriptions in the caves indicate that Satavahana dynasty ruled here and also the Mauryan Empire.

◾ 05:00 AM Start journey from Sarasbaug towards Jivdhan Fort.
◾ Reach at ‘Naneghat’, have a breakfast and start the trek.
◾ Reach the top of the fort, have a brief historical information session about the fort and a free discussion session.
◾ Start visiting ancient places.
◾ After exploring fort start descending.
◾ Reach at ‘Naneghat’ and have unlimited lunch in hotel.
◾ Visit to Naneghat and Start bus journey towards Pune.
◾ Reach Pune.
