Hike to Visapur Fort

Visapur Fort, located near Lonavala, is a popular trekking destination in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. Built during the early 18th century by Balaji Vishwanath, the first Peshwa of the Maratha Empire, the fort stands at an elevation of 1,084 meters (3,556 feet). The fort is known for its picturesque views, lush greenery, and historical significance. The trek to Visapur Fort is especially enjoyable during the monsoon season when the landscape is lush and vibrant.
Join us for a fun hike in the rains and experience the beauty and history of Visapur Fort!
Date: 6th July, 2024 (Saturday)
Cost: ₹1500/- (includes travel by public transport both ways, lunch, guide charges, first aid)
*Note: If more than 15 people participate, a private bus will be provided
Itinerary:
* 6:00 AM: Meet at Dadar station
* 6:30 AM: Train to Lonavala
* 9:00 AM: Reach Lonavala
* 9:30 AM: Breakfast (not included)
* 11:00 AM: Reach base village
– Introduction
* 11:30 AM: Start trekking
* 1:30 PM: Reach the top
– Chill until 2:30 PM
* 2:30 PM: Start walking down
* 4:30 PM: Reach base village
* 5:00 PM: Late lunch
* Return to Lonavala and take the train back to Dadar
