Harishchandragad fort is trekkers paradise! It is one of the most challenging treks in the Western Ghats. The main attraction of this hill fort remains the Konkan Kada (Konkan cliff), an almost 4691 ft concave fall. It is a vertical overhang, like a cobra’s hood, providing a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and an enchanting sunset. The best part is, every and anytime you visit this place, you fall in love with it more deeply.

Day 0: 3-Jan-25

◼ 10:00 PM: Start the journey from Sarasbaug, Pune, towards Pachnai, the base village for Harishchandragad Fort.

Day 1: 4-Jan-25

◼ 05:00 AM: Arrive at Pachnai village. Freshen up.
◼ 06:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast. After introductions, begin the trek towards Harishchandragad Fort.
◼ 09:00 AM: Reach Harishchandreshwar Temple.
◼ 09:15 AM: Participate in a brief historical information session about the fort, followed by a group discussion.
◼ 09:30 AM: Explore ancient landmarks, including: Pushkarni (ancient water tank), Ganesh Temple, Harishchandreshwar Temple,
Kedareshwar Temple, Fort caves
◼ 10:30 AM: Begin the climb to Taramati Peak, the highest point in Pune district (4,850 ft).
◼ 11:30 PM: Reach the summit of Taramati Peak and enjoy the views.
◼ 12:30 PM: Start descending and proceed towards Kokankada.
◼ 01:00 PM: Arrive at Kokankada. Enjoy a freshly cooked unlimited lunch.
◼ 03:00 PM: Set up tents at the campsite. Relax until sunset.
◼ 06:00 PM: Sip tea while admiring the breathtaking sunset at Kokankada.
◼ 08:00 PM: Enjoy a freshly prepared unlimited dinner.
◼ 09:00 PM: Gather around a campfire and spend the night under a starry sky.
◼ 10:00 PM: Retire for the night in well-organized tents.

Day 2: 5-Jan-25

◼ 06:00 AM: Wake-up call. Freshen up.
◼ 07:00 AM: Have breakfast.
◼ 08:00 AM: Pack up and begin descending to Pachnai village.
◼ 10:00 AM: Reach Pachnai base village, enjoy an unlimited lunch at Pachnai.
◼ 08:00 PM: Arrive back in Pune.
