Hampi, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, will take you back to ancient times by its magnificent architecture and the natural beauty around it.
Situated at the beautiful bank of river Tungabhadra, Hampi has many historical temples and ancient monuments. Apart from its fascinating history, this place is also known for its scenic landscapes dotted with coconut trees and paddy fields.
Friday,
18:00- Start travelling to Hospet in an Volvo bus from Mumbai. The bus has multiple pickup points – Andheri, Chembur, Vashi, Kharghar.
Saturday,
08:30 – Reach Hospet
09:30 – Get the vibes of Hampi while crossing Tungabhadra river and a very scenic route with rice fields on both sides.
11.30 – Reach Sanapur and freshen up
13:00 – Exciting Coracle ride in Sanapur Lake. It is a round boat made of bamboo
14:00 – Visit Durga temple
16:00 – Visit Anjanadri Hills to watch the sunset while sipping your evening coffee. You will get an eagle view of the entire Hampi.
19:30 – Go cafe hopping and enjoy the nightlife of Hampi
Sunday,
06:00 – Get up early if you want to enjoy the morning sunrise and the birds
08:00 – After breakfast, we will explore the ancient temples and ruins of Vijayanagara Empire
Vithala Temple – it has the famous stone chariot, musical pillar.
Royal enclosure – lotus temple, old elephant stables and the beautiful garden
13:00 – Local South Indian meals on banana leaf
15:00 – Visit the huge Virupaksha temple dedicated to lord Shiva. Also we will visit famous elephant laxmi and see how she passes the blessings to devotees.
16:00 – Travel back to Hospet to board the bus.
Monday,
08:30 – Reach Mumbai.
