Chanderi Summit Trek ( Not for beginners)
Trek to Chanderi fort, known for the enduring as well as the challenging Climbing route to the summit.. There are two trails to Chanderi fort, from Badlapur side as well as Panvel where they meet at a col from where one trail leads to Chanderi and the other one leads to Mhaismal.
In this trek we will be starting at night from the base village Chinchavali, reach to the cave and rest till the morning hours, in the morning after breakfast we will start the climb to the summit, relax at the summit, and descend towards the village.
Many surrounding mountains like Tahuli, Navra-Navri, Malangad, Nakhind, Vikatgad, Matheran hills, kalavantin, Prabalgad are visible from the Chanderi.
When Shivaji Maharaj conquered all territory up to Kalyan-Bhiwandi-Rairi, this fort came under the rule of the Marathas. A desecrated Shiva idol is present in the cave where many trekkers rest during their visit to Chanderi fort.

Note: This trek is not advised for those with a fear of heights or for beginners, as it includes steep rock sections overlooking a deep, exposed valley.

Day 0 :
Reporting time at Vangani railway station 09:25 PM (Board the 07:50 PM CSMT – Karjat Fast local train in Central Line)
Road journey from Vangani to chinchavli by hired vehicle’s – 30 minutes.
Day 1 :
Event Briefing & introduction – 20 min.
Ascent trek to the Chanderi cave – 3 hours.
Rest in the cave till early morning
Fresh up and morning breakfast – 1 hour.
climb to the Chanderi fort summit and return to the cave – 3 hours..
Descent trek to Chinchavali village – 3 to 4 hours.
Lunch break at villagers house – 1 hour.
Travel by road to Vangani/Badlapur Railway station – 30minutes.
