Chanderi is an ancient army fort situated near Vangani (Kalyan).There are not much remnants on the top except few water tanks and shatters stones. The view from the top is really alluring; one can observe Karnala, Prabalgad, Irshalgad, Manikgad, Peb, Matheran, Nakhind, Navra navri, Tavli etc from the top.There is no significant history attached to this fort. Near the caves on the fort are visible some remnants of fortification. This is the only sign to designate Chanderi as a fort. In May 1656, Shivaji Maharaj conquered all territory up to Kalyan-Bhiwandi-Rairi. This was when this fort came under the rule of the Marathas.

Start Journey towards Base Village by Private Vehicle.
Reach Chincholi base village at 01:30 am
Short Introduction round & Instructions and start Night Trek
Reach top approx. 04:30 AM
Rest in the caves till morning
Wake up call 5:30 am
5.30 To 6.00 Am Breakfast Time
we start for the top of the Fort, this is where the difficulty level increases.
Explore the surrounding area & start the climb down to the the Caves.
Start descending by 10:00 am
Reach Base village by 01:00 pm
Get fresh , Have Lunch at Base Village & Start Return Journey at 02:30 PM towards vangani station
Reach Vangani station by 03:15 PM
