About Surgad : Surgad Fort Trek is located in Ghera surgad village in Raigad district near Roha. It is strategically located in a spur, fragmented from the Sahyadri mountains of Maharashtra. The fort was built by the Shilahar kings and the Nizam of Ahmednagar looked after the fort later on. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj reconstructed and restored the fort. The fort was captured by Shankarji Narayan from the Siddhi of Janjira during the Rajaram regime.
Bajirao Peshwa captured the Surgad fort in the year 1733. The Peshwas used this fort as a prison for the captured prisoners.
About Avchitgad: Avchitgad is a fort located in the Sahyadri ranges of Maharashtra. The fort is situated near Roha in the Raigad district. At the base of this fort is a village called Medha. This fort is believed to be built by Shilahar kings and subsequently used by the Nizam of Ahmednagar. The great Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji is also believed to have reconstructed this fort. The work was carried out in a hurry and hence the name ‘Avchitgad’. In the Third Anglo-Maratha War, this fort was won over by Colonel Brother from the Peshwas in the year 1818 along with other forts in the neighbouring region.

Day 00 – 29th June 2024 (Saturday)
• 10.00PM – Depart from Borivali by a Private bus.
Enroute Pickups –
(Kandivali, Goregaon, Andheri, Bandra, Sion, Chembur, Vashi, Nerul, Kalamboli McD.)
*Day 01st: 30th June 2024 Sunday*
• 06.00 AM – Reach Base Village and breakfast
• 07.00 AM – Introduction and Start trek.
• 08.30 AM – Summit Surgad and Explore fort.
• 10.30 AM – Start Descending to the base village.
• 12.00 PM – Have lunch On the way and Start journey towards Avchitgad
• 02.00 PM – Reach Avchitgad Base village and start trek
• 03.00 PM – Reach Avchitgad top and explore the fort.
• 04.00 PM – Start descend towards the base village.
• 06.00 PM – Reach Base village and Start return journey towards Mumbai.
• 09.00 PM – Reach Mumbai (Approx)

• Personal Care Medicine those which u require usually.
• A good trekking shoes, extra pair of socks.
• Extra pair of clothes, Sleeping Bag, Mat, Beddings, etc.
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried, so that one has ones hands free while trekking.
• Pleases do not carry sling bags or Jholas.
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.

• Sleeveless, Low neck, Figure hugging, Shirts/Tops, Short Pants, Hot Pant not allowed.

• Do not litter, participants are requested to carry – – the waste back to the city and dispose it off in dustbins.
• Trek Leader’s decision will be final and binding.
