About Kothaligad:
Kothaligad is Situated near Karjat, in the Bimashankar forest reserve, Kothaligad or Peth is a well-known fort among the trekkers for its easy climb. Kothaligad was mainly used as a watch tower and an ammunition depot and was a geographically important fort in both Maratha and Mughal empire. As this fort is located on the verge of Konkan, control over this fort meant control over the Konkan region below the fort.
The primary attractions on this fort are the big and spacious rock carved caves, water cisterns and the steps carved from inside a rock leading to the top of the Pinnacle. The view from the top of the pinnacle is not only beautiful, but helps you observe the forts around.
Itinerary –
Day 00 – Saturday
• 10.00 PM – Meet SGNP borivali
• Pickup location :
Borivali – Jogeshwari – Andheri – Bandra – Sion – Chembur – Vashi – Panvel
Dat 01 – Sunday
• 02.00 AM – Reach Ambiwadi.
• 02.15 AM – Introduction Briefing & Start Trek till peth Village
•04.30 AM – Reach Peth Village & Take some rest.
07.30 AM – Breakfast & Start Ascending the fort.
• 09.30 AM – Reach Top of the fort and enjoy the nature view
• 11.00 AM – Start Descending
• 12.30 PM – Reach Pethwadi & Have a Lunch
• 02.00 PM – After lunch start the return journey towards Mumbai
• 06.00 PM – Reach Mumbai with Happy Memories.

THINGS TO CARRY :

• A bottle of water (At least 3 Liters)
• Some ready to eat food, Plum Cakes, Biscuits etc.
• Personal Care Medicine those which u require usually.
• A good trekking shoes, extra pair of socks.
• Extra pair of clothes, Sleeping Bag, Mat, Beddings, etc.
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried, so that one has ones hands free while trekking.
• Pleases do not carry sling bags or Jholas.
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.

• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
• Sleeveless, Low neck, Figure hugging, Shirts/Tops, Short Pants, Hot Pant not allowed.
• All our photo, walks are Eco-friendly, kindly take care of nature around us.

• Do not litter, participants are requested to carry – – the waste back to the city and dispose it off in dustbins.
• Trek Leader’s decision will be final and binding.
