(Note : – Mumbai to Mumbai travel will be done only if there are at least 15 people otherwise the event will be done by Kasara to Kasara local train & Local Transport. And discounts will also be given in fees)

BRAHMAHIRI
TRIMBAKGAD (Brahmagiri) :
Trimbakeshwar Temple is perched on the picturesque lusting green Brahmagiri hills near Nasik in Maharashtra. River Godavari originates on this hill and flows though the Brahmagiri ranges.
Apart from religious significance, Trimbak Fort played a part in the history. Ramchandra of Yadavas of Devgiri built it. In 1629, Mughal Emperor Shahjahan sent an army and after a long battles in the areas captured it in 1636. It remained with them till 1720 when it passed to Nijam who ruled it till 1752. The Marathas captured it then and Col. Mcdowell led the final attack against it in 1818 on 24th April. After a three hours of firing the fort surrendered. The British conquered Trimbak and dismantled the fort.
The Multani family of Karachi rebuilt the steps and a Dharmashala, which are now in use.
DURGBHANDAR:- It will be an over exaggerated statement if we say Durg Bhandar as a fort. It resembles being a watchtower, might be to pass signals or for storage purposes (As the name suggests). But what makes us take a note of this tower is its strategic importance. It is located near Basgad and Harihar which are the forts in the Trimbak range.
Itinerary:-
*Day 1st – Saturday, 04th February 2023*
• Meeting Time – 10:30 PM.
• Meeting Point – Borivali National Park gate.
• 10:45 AM – Move towards Base Village
Enroute – Jogeshwari, Kanjurmarg, Mulund, Thane, Kalyan Phata (On Western & Eastern express highway)
*Day 2nd – Sunday, 05th February 2023*
05:00 AM – Reach Trimbak & get Fresh
06:00 AM – Breakfast at the base village
06:30 AM – Introduction & Instruction Round
06:45 AM – Start Trek towards Bramhagiri fort
09:45 AM – Reach Top & Explore the Fort
12.30 PM : Start Descend towards Base Village.
02:00 PM – Lunch
03:00 PM – Start a Return Journey
08:00 PM – Reach Mumbai (Tentative – Depends on the Traffic)

• A good trekking shoes(must), extra pair of socks.
• Extra pair of clothes, Rain Coat, Wind Cheater, etc.
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried, so that one has ones hands free while trekking.
• Pleases do not carry sling bags or Jholas.
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.

• Sleeveless, Low neck, Figure hugging, Shirts/Tops, *Short Pants, Hot Pant not allowed.*

• Do not litter, participants are requested to carry – – the waste back to the city and dispose it off in dustbins.
