Bhorgiri to Bhimashankar Monsoon Trek on 7th July 2024:

Bhorgiri is a quaint village nestled amidst hills on three sides, with one of these hills housing the historic Bhorgiri Fort and caves. The trek from Bhorgiri to Bhimashankar takes you through a dense jungle, offering abundant opportunities for nature lovers and photographers alike. Along the way, you might spot Maharashtra’s state animal, the Giant Squirrel, known locally as “Shekru.”

During the monsoon season, this trek is ideal for beginners, nature enthusiasts, and photographers. The trail is a straightforward jungle walk, taking approximately three hours and culminating at “Gupta Bhimashankar.” To reach the Bhimashankar Temple, trekkers must navigate streams and waterfalls, adding a touch of adventure to this scenic journey.

Itinerary:
Sunday: 7th July
5:00 AM – Start from Pune by Private Vehicle
Enroute, Breakfast, Tea
8:00 AM – Reach Base village Bhorgiri
8:30 AM – Start Beautiful Trek towards Bhimashankar
Cross the Streams & Enjoy Waterfalls
Walk through Dense Forest
Visit Gupta Bhimashankar
2:00 PM – Reach Bhimashankar & Lunch
5:00 PM – Start return journey with Beautiful Memories.
Reach Pune by 9 pm
