Egypt is a country linking northeast Africa with the Middle East. It dates to the time of the pharaohs. Millennia-old monuments sit along the fertile Nile River Valley, including Giza’s colossal Pyramids.
Day 1,
Arrival at Cairo, the capital city of Egypt. Check-in to our traveler hostel and rest in day time
In the late afternoon we will visit the Khan el-Khalili, the famous market place and foodie junction.
Day 2,
We get up early to stay ahead of crowd and reach the Giza Necropolis to see the
– Pyramids of Giza,
– Sphynx etc
– Papyrus Institute
Later we will visit Museum of Egypt (it has actual mummies)
In the evening, we will return to the Pyramids for the light show.
Day 3,
Get up early for a day trip to
– Dahshur: Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid. We can go inside them
– Memphis: capital of ancient Egypt
– Step Pyramid of Djoser
Return to Cairo and board the overnight train to Luxor.
Day 4,
Located on the banks of the Nile river, Luxor is the site of ancient Thebes, the pharaohs’ capital at the height of their power. Today we slowly explore the west bank of Luxor
– Valley of the Kings,
– Mortuary temple of Hatshepsut,
– Medinet Habu,
– Valley of Queens
Day 5,
We explore the east bank of Luxor
– Karnak Temple,
– Luxor temple,
– Luxor Museum,
Catch an evening flight to Alexandria. Check-in at Alexandria
Day 6,
Today, we will do Scuba diving near Faros Island to see the ancient lighthouse and Cleopatra Palace submerged under water. It is one of its kind experiences to see the glorious city submerged in the sea.
If we get time then we can visit Bibliotheca Alexandrina which is the largest collection of ancient books and arts
Day 7,
Early morning bus to Siwa. After check-in, we will visit the grand Shali Fortress. Evening at leisure in the desert town.
Day 8,
In the morning, we will have a relaxing time in the salt lakes of Siwa where you can float without any effort due to the high amount of salt.
Later, we will visit the mountain of the dead (not scary). If time permits, we will go to the vast sea of sand.
Then, Overnight bus to Cairo
Day 9,
Reach Cairo at 8am. You can board the return flight or spend another day in Cairo
Fees: Rs.74,000 per person
