Every year, the quiet coastal village of Velas becomes the stage for a remarkable conservation effort where endangered Olive Ridley sea turtles hatch and make their instinctive journey into the Arabian Sea.

Velas hosts the famous Velas Turtle Festival, attracting nature lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, and responsible travellers from across the country.

The village accounts for nearly 40% of sea turtle nests along the Maharashtra coastline, making it one of the most important turtle conservation sites in India.

Along with the turtle hatchling experience, we will also explore the historic Bankot Fort and relax at the scenic Shrivardhan Beach.
