The Saswad grasslands in Bhuleshwar mountain range is one of the best place to visit in monsoon or winter. Not far from Pune but still calm & free from crowd. Many secrets are hidden here. Dhawalgad fort is a far long forgotten fort while Malharagad is the last fort built by Maratha empires. Both forts are beautiful & easy to trek. Dhawalgad to Malhargad range is an unprotected landscape which harbour a lot of species of birds & mammals including the elusive stars of the show – Indian gazelle or chinkara. Other animals you will encounter are the Bengal fox, Indian grey wolf and the striped hyena and various birds.

भुलेश्वर डोंगररांगेतील सासवड गवताळ प्रदेश हे पावसाळ्यात किंवा हिवाळ्यात भेट देण्याचे उत्तम ठिकाण आहे. पुण्यापासून फार दूर नसले तरीही शांत आणि गर्दीपासून मुक्त आहे. येथे अनेक रहस्ये दडलेली आहेत. ढवळगड हा एक दुर्लक्षित, अपरिचित किल्ला आहे तर मल्हारगड हा मराठा साम्राज्याने बांधलेला शेवटचा किल्ला आहे. दोन्ही किल्ले सुंदर आणि सोप्या श्रेणीतील गिरीदुर्ग आहेत. ढवळगड ते मल्हारगड या असंरक्षित प्रदेशात विविध पक्षी आणि सस्तन प्राण्यांच्या अनेक प्रजाती आहेत ज्यामध्ये प्रामुख्याने – चिंकारा, लांडगे, कोल्हे, तरस यांसारखे प्राणी व विविध पक्षी यांचे दर्शन या भटकंती दरम्यान सहजरीत्या घडते.

▪️7:30am : Reach base village Ambale near Shindawane ghat & enjoy morning tea & breakfast in a serenic place. (Served by Shivsparsh team)
▪️8:00 am Start the trek
▪️Explore Dhawalgad fort
▪️Visit Shindawane Ghat
▪️Visit Kanifnath temple & take lunch (Carry your own packed lunch)
▪️Visit Mahadev Temple
▪️Ascend Malhargad via Mahadarwaja (You can see a natural arch on this route)
▪️Explore Malhargad fort
▪️Descend via Chor darwaja *(Discovered by Shivsparsh team)*
▪️Reach base of the fort & return to Pune
▪️5:00pm : Arrival to Pune (depends on traffic)
