Cancellation & Refunds

This policy governs the purchase and use of digital downloads (e.g., e-books, digital maps, downloadable guides, etc.) from mumbaihikers.org.

1. Nature of Digital Downloads

By purchasing a digital download, you acknowledge that you are immediately granted access to the digital content upon successful payment. The nature of digital goods means that they are intangible and cannot be “returned.”

2. No Cancellation

Once an order for a digital download is successfully processed and the download link or file access is provided, the purchase is considered final. Due to the immediate and irrevocable nature of digital content delivery, cancellation of an order is not possible.

3. No Refunds Policy

All sales of digital downloads are final and non-refundable.

You agree that because of the nature of digital content, once a purchase is made, you will not be entitled to a refund for any reason, except as required by applicable mandatory consumer protection laws (see Section 4). This no-refund policy applies, but is not limited to, the following circumstances:

  • Change of Mind: You decide you no longer want the product.
  • Non-Compatibility: The product is incompatible with your specific hardware or software (it is your responsibility to check system requirements before purchase).
  • Failure to Download: You experience technical difficulties on your end (e.g., a slow internet connection, lack of storage space) that prevent you from successfully downloading the file after it has been made available to you.
  • Failure to Use: You do not use the downloaded content.

4. Exceptions (Required by Law)

Refunds will only be considered if mandated by mandatory consumer protection laws applicable to the transaction. If you believe your purchase qualifies under such a law, you must contact us at [Insert Support Email Address, e.g., support@mumbaihikers.org] within [Specify a short, reasonable time frame, e.g., 7 days] of the purchase, providing full details and proof of the legal requirement.

5. Responsibility for Download

We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the files provided are of the highest quality and function correctly. It is your responsibility to:

  • Ensure you have the necessary software to open and view the files (e.g., a PDF reader).
  • Download and back up your purchased files promptly. Download links may expire after a set time frame (e.g., 48 hours or a maximum of 3 downloads). We are not responsible for lost downloads after the access period has expired.

By completing a purchase of a digital download from mumbaihikers.org, you explicitly agree to this Cancellation & Refunds Policy.
