RATANGAD FORT TREK – 21st June 2026:

Conquer the “Jewel of Sahyadri” and Witness the Magnificent Eye of the Needle!

Join Sahyadri Adventure Club for an exciting monsoon trek to the historic Ratangad Fort, one of the most beautiful forts in the Sahyadri range. Standing proudly above the scenic Bhandardara backwaters, Ratangad is a 400-year-old hill fort known for its unique natural rock formation called the Nedhe (Eye of the Needle), ancient fortifications, caves, water cisterns, and breathtaking panoramic views.

The trek also offers a visit to the magnificent Amruteshwar Temple at Ratanwadi, an architectural masterpiece from the Hemadpanthi era, renowned for its intricate stone carvings and historical significance.

From the summit, trekkers can enjoy spectacular views of Alang, Madan, Kulang, Harishchandragad, Patta Fort, and the vast expanse of the beautiful Bhandardara (Arthur Lake).

10:30 AM – Begin Descent
12:30 PM – Reach Ratanwadi & Visit Amruteshwar Temple
1:00 PM – Veg / Non-Veg Lunch
2:00 PM – Start Return Journey with Wonderful Memories
