For the term **2025-26** to **2027-28**, the **new executive committee was elected unopposed**. Various initiatives have been planned to promote mountaineering as an adventure sport. A unanimous decision was taken to celebrate **December 11th as International Mountain Day** across the state. Various programs will be organized on this occasion. Furthermore, a public awareness campaign will be conducted regarding the **12 forts** that have been declared as global heritage sites by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and a state-level competition called **‘Killa Banva’ (Build a Fort)** will also be organized, the President of the Federation announced.
