New Executive Committee of the Akhil Maharashtra Mountaineering Federation Elected Unopposed
34th Annual General Meeting Concludes in Pune
Pune: The 34th Annual General Meeting of the Akhil Maharashtra Giryarohan Mahasangh (Akhil Maharashtra Mountaineering Federation), the state’s leading organization in the field of mountaineering and sports, was held on September 28th at Valane, Mulshi, Pune. For the term 2025-26 to 2027-28, the new executive committee was elected unopposed.
Various initiatives have been planned to promote mountaineering as an adventure sport. A unanimous decision was taken to celebrate December 11th as International Mountain Day across the state. Various programs will be organized on this occasion. Furthermore, a public awareness campaign will be conducted regarding the 12 forts that have been declared as global heritage sites by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and a state-level competition called ‘Killa Banva’ (Build a Fort) will also be organized, the President of the Federation announced. In addition, Sunil Gaikwad of Shivdurg, Lonavala organization, has been appointed as the Chief Coordinator of the Maharashtra Mountaineers Rescue Co-ordination Centre, which runs the 24×7 rescue helpline in the Sahyadris under the Federation.
The new executive committee for the term 2025-26 to 2027-28 was elected unopposed.

अखिल महाराष्ट्र गिर्यारोहण महासंघाची नवीन कार्यकारिणी बिनविरोध
३४ वी वार्षिक सभा पुण्यात संपन्न
पुणे: राज्यातील गिर्यारोहण क्रीडा क्षेत्रातील प्रमुख राज्यस्तरीय संघटना असलेल्या अखिल महाराष्ट्र गिर्यारोहण महासंघाची ३४ वी वार्षिक सर्वसाधारण सभा २८ सप्टेंबर रोजी वळणे, मुळशी, पुणे येथे पार पडली. यात महासंघाच्या २०२५-२६ ते २०२७-२८ या कार्यकाळासाठी नवीन कार्यकारिणीची बिनविरोध निवड करण्यात आली.
गिर्यारोहण या साहसी क्रीडा प्रकाराचा प्रसार वाढवण्यासाठी विविध उपक्रमांचे नियोजन करण्यात आले आहे. यामध्ये ११ डिसेंबर आंतरराष्ट्रीय पर्वत दिन राज्यभर साजरा करण्याचा एकमुखी निर्णय घेण्यात आला. यानिमित्ताने विविध उपक्रम राबवले जाणार आहेत. तसेच, छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांचे जागतिक वारसा स्थळ म्हणून घोषित झालेले १२ किल्ले यांच्याबाबत जनजागृती अभियान राबवले जाणार असून, ‘किल्ला बनवा’ ही राज्यस्तरीय स्पर्धादेखील आयोजित केली जाणार आहे, अशी माहिती महासंघाच्या अध्यक्षांनी दिली. या बैठकीदरम्यान
